Association of Relief Volunteers (ARV) is a non-profit social service organization registered under the Act of XXI of 1860 with No. 42 of 2001. ARV obtained FCRA status and Income Tax exemption -12A.

ARV is initiated by concerned persons who have been involved in development and rights work for one or two decades. It addresses issues with “Right to Development’ approach. To date ARV’s work has been focused only on Dalits and Yanadi Tribe which is one of the most under-developed in Andhra Pradesh.

About 306 local and 161 International volunteers have been involved with ARV to empower the most vulnerable and discriminated communities in Andhra Pradesh.

Our Vision

A society, where the poorest, discriminated and vulnerable communities are aware of their rights and are empowered to access their entitlements and use natural resources; a society where development opportunities are used by all to mitigate hunger, poverty and not making wealth for few; a society where equal opportunities are dynamically evolved in democratic process to address socio-economic-political inequalities and establish peace and harmony.

Our Mission

Create awareness on rights and entitlements among poorest, discriminated and vulnerable communities. Organise and empower poorest, discriminated and vulnerable communities to demand their rights and entitlements from the state. Form community based organizations to mange equal distribution of natural resources and development opportunities. Advocacy with state for people’s centered policy making and implementation.
